I went to see Spirit Of The Horse with my children and parents on Wednesday - what a terrific show. It's one not to miss.
Presumably, Frances Lindsay-Hills, who called for a boycott of the show, has not seen the horses, the show or the stabling provided.
The horses are in a much better condition, and the stables are bigger, cleaner and better ventilated, than is found at many riding stables and livery yards.
None of the horses was used in the performance for more than a few minutes at a time. Compare that with some riding-school horses that are made to work all day.
As for the horses being "shipped around 15 towns in England", there is no harm in this.
They are transported in purpose-built, large horseboxes and stay for many days in each place they visit, allowing them plenty of time to settle.
Many horses are transported around far more frequently to compete in races, horse shows and so on without the luxury of being able to settle anywhere.
Ms Lindsay-Hills' concern should be directed towards real animal-welfare issues, such as horses and ponies owned by people who haven't a clue about horse care.
These are the neglected and abused ones suffering with overgrown hooves, worms and lack of food that are then dragged out of the field or stable for a weekly exercise (if they are lucky) which consists of a yank to the mouth, a kick in the ribs, a whipping, a trot up the road and a gallop on the verge.
