Keno, the Border collie, managed to extend his life through his gesture to a vet.
He was about to be put down after being badly injured when he licked the vet's hand and changed her mind.
Although one of his legs had to be amputated, Keno is well on the way towards making a recovery.
Every dog has his day and Keno deserved his through his courage and good nature.
