A cricket ball which claimed the wicket of the world's greatest batsman was auctioned for double its estimated value.
Australian legend Sir Donald Bradman was bowled by the ball from England and Lancashire fast-bowler Dick Pollard in July 1948.
The hallowed ball has been sold for £1,700 by Scarborough Perry auctioneers in Hove Street, Hove.
The ball and other memorabilia from Pollard's career were brought into the shop last month.
A specialist cricket memorabilia firm bought the Bradman ball.
Lancashire Cricket Club paid £260 for another ball to display in its museum.
Other lots included Pollard's diary, match programmes, an England tour jacket from 1946-47, and letters from Sir Donald.
The sale raised a total of £4,500 for the anonymous owners of the items.
Andrew Scarborough said: "We had an awful lot of interest, from specialist dealers as well as from local cricket buffs."
