I do not wish to spoil other people's pleasures and can accept Normstock was intended to be a fun event that simply got out of control, as the hospitals, police, transport authorities and many people I have met who attended the event have commented.

To suggest in hindsight it was a carefully planned and successful event that reflects well on Brighton and benefited Brightonians is, however, going too far.

Even Fatboy Slim has accepted it was not a success and he is unlikely to do it again.
