In response to S L of Lewes (Letters, July 19), my husband is a Harley Davidson owner and rider and loves to go for long rides.
There are a lot of ignorant car users who tend to pull out in front of bikers without checking mirrors and so on.
Some car drivers don't like motorbikes overtaking so they put their foot down to scare the riders and, sadly, it can sometimes be to late.
Our thoughts go to the family of the latest victim, John Packham.
