People are very quick to grumble about the NHS and the treatment they receive in our hospitals. I would like to give the NHS a little praise.
I had to attend the endoscopy unit at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, last week. I was very nervous as I had to have a sigmoidoscopy as well as a gastroscopy examination but, thanks to all the staff in the unit, I got through it without even being sedated.
They were all wonderful, from the reception area to the recovery room.
Let's give thanks where it is due. They certainly all deserve it. It's a hard job with little pay so they deserve a pat on the back for all they have to do.
