I find it amazing how quickly Ivor Caplin has jumped on to the Hoogstraten bandwagon (The Argus, July 24).

Can Mr Caplin explain why he has suddenly made these comments now, especially when he knew some while back that the tenants of Mr Hoogstraten were living in sub-standard conditions?

Why was nothing done at that time? Is this yet another strategic approach to get Mr Caplin's political career back into the public eye?
