Michael Aldrich, chairman of Rocc Computers, has been awarded an honorary doctorate of letters by the University of Brighton.
Mr Aldrich is a 40-year veteran of the computer industry and a former chairman of the governing board of the university.
Brighton and Crawley-based Rocc is a specialist provider of information technology software and services.
It also has offices in Bristol, Manchester and Edinburgh.
