One of the most prominent businesswomen in Sussex has taken over as the chairman of the county's branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD).
Margaret Devlin, who replaces Michael Evans, said: "He recognised that to be an effective champion for enterprise and wealth creation, which is the key objective of IoD Sussex, the branch needed to have a more dynamic approach and a greater influence on decision-makers in the county.
"Our branch has instigated a range of new projects designed to enhance our members' professional development, give them greater opportunities to keep up-to-date with issues affecting their businesses and the work of directors.
"These include the development of a new web site, which is aimed at making it easier to keep members up-to-date with branch activities, while providing a direct link to the main IoD web site."
