The Where's the Blanket, Charlie Brown? CD-rom gives kids the chance to catch up with Charlie, Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang in a fun-filled adventure.
The story is very simple. Linus' all-important security blanket is missing so you are required to help him and his friends to track it down.
Paying a visit to computer camp with Sally, going to the supermarket, checking out the library and seeing the Great Houdini's magic show are just some of the things in store as you search for valuable clues.
Although it is hard to regard the game as educational, it has a number of elements that lift it above more mundane titles.
As kids try their hand at being super-sleuths, they learn skills in problem solving, pattern recognition, numbers and maps, spatial awareness and musical exploration - even if the lessons learned are a little superficial.
It is timeless Peanuts humour that sets this CD apart and children will enjoy taking part in the adventure, although too much time in the company of Lucy, Charlie Brown, Linus, and Snoopy could lead to all kinds of mischief.
The Peanuts gang has delighted millions of fans and, for those who love Snoopy cartoons, this adventure is great fun and highly recommended but don't expect too much from the educational element.
