How refreshing to read Tony Booker's letter (The Argus, July) where he refers to the annual invasion of language students.
I am sure Mr Booker has expressed the feelings of thousands of people in the Brighton and Hove area.
I live in Southwick and work in Hove - easy, you would think, to travel by bus. That may be true in the winter months but, in the months when the language students invade, it is nearly impossible.
My solution at the moment is to get up a 5am, drive my husband to work, drive home and get myself ready for work, drive to work, look for somewhere to park and be at my desk for 9am.
So, instead of paying £1 each way, I am forced to get up two hours earlier every day and drive an extra ten miles, pay for fuel, basic running costs, parking fees etc.
This is the only way I can ensure I am not late for work due to foreign students.
It would be appreciated if, for once, Roger French could introduce compulsory students-only buses (or even better residents-only) to give us poor old tax-paying, fare-paying residents a chance.
