This programme of visual art exhibitions and installations is built around Turner At Petworth, a showcase of paintings by J M W Turner.
The project brings together four artists - Turner, Langlands & Bell and Andy Goldsworth - at three different venues: Pallant House, Petworth House and the South Downs.
Ben Langlands and Nikki Bell will be exhibiting a major new work The Ministry (Health and Education) 2002, together with selected items from their archive at Pallant House Gallery, Chichester, until September 1.
They will also be showcasing their Turner Studio Residency Exhibition at Petworth House until September 29. For their residency, Langlands & Bell have explored the idea of The House.
Meanwhile, there will be an exhibition of 70 works by one of Britain's finest painters, Turner, which were inspired by Petworth House.
In addition, Andy Goldsworthy's Hearth Stones, new works in chalk, will be shown at Pallant House until September 1.
Goldsworthy has also created a chalk path running through Petworth Park which is designed to be experienced every full moon, until next summer. (Booking is essential for this event. Call 01798 343523).
His Chalk Stones can be viewed on the South Downs over the next two years as work is sited on publicly accessible land (call 01903 741234).
