A pub is helping with a girl who suffers from an ageing disease.
The Park View pub in Preston Grove, Preston Park, Brighton, will hold a karaoke night and quiz every week to raise money for Hayley Okines, the little girl who ages eight years every 12 months.
After seeing the article about Hayley in The Argus on Saturday, Marc McMurdo decided to get in touch with her parents, Kerry Button and Mark Okines, to pledge his support.
Marc, whose partner Lauren Cooke runs the pub, said: "We have been looking for a charity to support since we moved here from Scotland.
"I know how important it is to look after disabled children. I have a daughter with cystic fibrosis.
"We have decided to hold a quiz night every Tuesday and a karaoke night on Fridays."
Quizgo, which is a general knowledge quiz based on the game of Bingo, will run from this evening, with a jackpot of £20.
The karaoke evening will cost £1 to enter and the top prize is a bottle of wine.
On Sunday, Kerry and Mark who live near Bexhill will come to the pub to pick up the money raised each week.
