A man who died in a speedboat crash off Brighton beach has been named as 45-year-old Ian Langan.
Mr Langan, of Springfield Road, Brighton, worked at the Yacht Club at Brighton Marina.
Investigations continued today into Sunday evening's crash off the Palace Pier in which a second man was seriously injured.
Two men were arrested and yesterday released on police bail to return to Brighton police station on Monday October 14.
Scenes of crime officers have been analysing the boats at Shoreham Harbour. The police investigation continues in conjunction with the Maritime Accident Investigation Branch and the Coastguard.
The injured man, in his 50s, suffered serious leg and internal injuries and is in a stable condition at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
The accident happened about half a mile south of the pier and police are appealing to witnesses who were on the pier or who saw the boats leave Brighton Marina to come forward.
Officers believe the seven people in the two boats knew each other.
Witnesses should call Detective Inspector Bill Warner on 0845 6070999.
