A father killed in a motorcycle crash will be remembered when a hotel reopens after a £500,000 facelift.
Giovanni Packham, 43, from Brighton, died when his bike collided head-on with a coach in Battle last month.
He had been working with his brother, Paolo, on the refit of the landmark Burlington Hotel on Worthing seafront when the accident happened.
Paolo, a Hove-based developer, has vowed to name the new cocktail bar and restaurant Gio's Place.
He said he wanted to pay tribute to his brother, who had been installing plumbing at the hotel shortly before his death.
He said: "It was a great shock and I would like to do something in his memory."
Despite the tragedy, Paolo, 44, and his other brother Bruno are pressing on with the regeneration of the listed Victorian hotel.
Work started four months ago and contractors have been brought in to restore the building to its original splendour.
Paulo hopes it will reopen in mid-September, offering 25 en suite bedrooms, a night club called Tides and the Italian restaurant and cocktail bar.
