Natasha Stapleton celebrated her 13th birthday at a party with more than 200 friends and relatives.
The celebration was held for Natasha, who has terminal cancer, on Saturday night.
There was a disco and karaoke, face painting and balloon modelling at the event at Moulsecoomb Leisure Centre in Brighton.
Family friend Eileen Rye said: "It was wonderful. Natasha really enjoyed it.
"There was so much going on so Natasha thoroughly enjoyed it because it meant she was not the centre of attention.
"For Natasha and her family, being 13 is special. It is something she will take with her and something that will be there as a good memory."
Natasha of Eggington Close, Moulsecoomb, was diagnosed in May with an adult form of carcoma cancer in her mouth, lymph glands and liver.
A fund has been set up to raise money for Natasha and more than £30,000 has been collected so far.
An anonymous donor has also provided Natasha and her family with tickets to go on a dream trip to Disneyland Paris.
