The Argus has identified seven key priorities and is calling on everyone from the council to businesses and all beach users to do their bit to keep the city's beach clean.
Brighton and Hove City Council to erect eye-catching signs all along the seafront, warning of the dangers of taking glass onto the pebbles.
Off-licences not to sell bottled drinks on the day of a major event, or to anyone they know is heading for the beach. Plastic and can alternatives should be used instead.
Businesses, including off-licences, pubs and shops to display one of our Keep glass off the beach posters.
Seafront traders never to sell any drinks in glasses.
Children to remind their parents not to put bottles in their beach picnics.
Everyone - if you see a bottle on the beach - pick it up and bin it.
The city council to provide more bins for everyday rubbish and special recepticles for glass.
Most importantly of all, we're asking for the goodwill of the people of Brighton and Hove to set the example to visitors and NEVER take glass on to the beach.
It's our beach.
