The Holiday Inn hotel at Gatwick Airport is to receive a £5 million makeover.
The ground floor of the 210-bedroom hotel will be completely revamped including a new 120-seat restaurant, bedroom upgrades and the introduction of an academy conference and training centre.
General manager Orla Hynes said: "The hotel is in a prime location with excellent transport links to London.
"This investment is fantastic for the hotel and for all the guests who stay with us.
"All our staff will be working to ensure our guests are well looked after.
"Disruption will be kept to an absolute minimum and all our customers will be kept informed while the work is taking place."
The conference centre will include ten meeting rooms offering modern facilities for meetings and conferences.
The centre will be able to cater for a maximum of 200 delegates.
All hotel bedrooms will be fitted with blackout curtains, entertainment systems and air conditioning.
