Green Party politicians are calling for all planning arrangements made before last month's Fatboy Slim beach party to be made public.
The Greens on Brighton and Hove council say the number of stewards and police on duty, the incident and evacuation procedures and the overall risk assessment should be included in a report to go before city councillors.
Keith Taylor, party convenor on the council, said contingency plans to cope with a crowd of the size that descended on Brighton should be outlined in the document.
The report should also contain details of medical incidents and first-aid facilities on the night, insurance arrangements and the training stewards had been given.
Councillor Taylor was shouted down at a council meeting a few days after the party when he said the city had been brought to the brink of disaster as 250,000 revellers arrived for the concert.
He said: "Despite continued official assurances the event was successful, safe and well planned, we believe mistakes were made and there are lessons to be learned."
The report, due to go before the authority's senior policy making committee on September 18, will be the first detailed formal response to the beach party to go before councillors.
