Asda has been voted Britain's favourite supermarket chain in a survey of shoppers.
It was seen as best on price, range, service and availability of products.
Asda picked up 22.8 per cent of the vote in the poll of 6,630 households, followed by Britain's most profitable chain Tesco, which got 19.4 per cent, then Sainsbury's in third with 15.3 per cent.
Marks & Spencer, in fourth place with 10.9 per cent, was rated top when it came to quality.
The poll was carried out for the trade magazine The Grocer.
