Burgess Fasteners, the Burgess Hill-based manufacturer of industrial fastenings, has been taken over by Walters Hexagon of Manchester.
The acquisition follows the purchase of Heyco, a major supplier of plastic components to industry by Walters Hexagon.
Burgess Fasteners was founded in 1981 and is a supplier and distributor of screws, bolts and specialist fasteners.
Its customer list includes 50 blue chip firms and its product list exceeds 10,000 lines.
