I have been following the debate about hatless traffic wardens in The Argus.
Readers may be interested to know that The Argus is not the only newspaper to feature this story.
An article appeared on it in The Sunday Times the week before last in a section called "This Life".
It followed a story about a town in Texas that castrated its mayor and another about a young man who fell asleep on a beach.
When he awoke, a barnacle had attached itself to a certain part of his anatomy that even the local hospital was unable to remove.
At least someone is keeping the story in perspective. The mayor was a goat, by the way.
