A woman wants to return a remembrance plaque to the family of the dead man it commemorates.
Sally Kennedy found the small metal tribute to Brian Blacker, who lived from 1939 to 1994, when she moved into a house in Harrington Road, Brighton.
The plaque, measuring 2in by 3in, was resting on a gatepost at the front of the house.
The plaque reads: "In loving memory - Brian Blacker, 1939-1994 - God bless."
Mrs Kennedy said: "This must mean something to someone somewhere.
"It's terribly sad this memorial has ended up here and remains a mystery. It would be lovely to find out who it was for and why.
The previous owners of the house didn't know anything about it."
