Skipper Peter Fear could return for Crawley at Tamworth tomorrow as Billy Smith's side chase their first premier division win of the season.
Fear missed the first two games because of an ankle injury, but he will be in the squad after coming through training last night.
But fellow midfielder Mo Harkin (ankle) is ruled out so Smith may give new signing Danny Hockton his first start in a three-man attack alongside Nik McDonnell and Dave Stevens.
Reds have picked up one point so far and Smith accepts they need a result from their two Bank Holiday games. On Monday they entertain Welling.
He said: "We looked a lot better with three up front when Danny came on in the first two matches so we'll probably go with that on Saturday. It's not been the best of starts but playing a side relegated from the Conference and now the team who finished runners-up last season was never going to be easy."
Eastbourne Borough are aiming to bury bogey side Histon tomorrow at Priory Lane as they bid to maintain their 100 per cent start to the eastern division campaign.
Victories over Banbury on the opening day and Dartford in midweek have got Borough off to a flying start but manager Garry Wilson is not getting carried away.
He said: "I am not to keen to dwell on what happened in the past. They have made a few new signings and so have we. They will be a top four side this season so we know it will be difficult but we usually play better against the better sides."
Head coach Nick Greenwood agrees Histon are likely to be the toughest test so far.
Greenwood said: "We have played Histon five times in all competitions so far in the Dr Martens League and lost every game. This is a big game."
Borough have no injury doubts but Ben Austin, keeper Paul Stark and Paul Stevens are all likely to play in the reserves as they return to fitness.
St Leonards boss Glyn White expects Mark Lovell to make his debut at Salisbury.
Lovell, who played four games on loan at The Firs last season, was released by Gillingham and will lead the attack as Saints attempt to recover from two consecutive defeats. Matt Ball (thigh), Steve Ferguson (neck) and Gavin Ramsden (ankle) are all doubtful.
