I read the column recently about the average pint of beer in Sussex reaching £2.
In my experience, most pubs charge well over this figure.
What puzzles me is that in his Budget speech this year, Gordon Brown promised that the price of beer produced by smaller breweries would be down substantially in time for the World Cup.
I have not seen a pint of this fabulous beer before, during or after the World Cup. Has anyone else in our region come across this phenomenon?
