Findon thanked rivals Pagham for inspiring them to win the Invitation League for a record-breaking seventh time.
Findon recorded a comprehensive win over Lindfield on Saturday to ensure the championship returned to Long Furlong.
It is the third consecutive season Findon have won the league.
They have been irrepressible this season, winning 11 of their 15 matches so far. With one match left, they are on course for a whopping 385 points.
Skipper Nigel Waller, 32, who joined the club in 1990 after their first championship win, thanked Pagham for playing their part in an exciting title race.
He said: "The team feel satisfied and relieved because we have been out in front for most of the season.
"I have to congratulate Pagham, who will probably finish second, because if it wasn't for them it might have been hard to carry on motivating the side.
"But they pushed us all the way because they kept on winning and were the only team to beat us. It is unfortunate for them they have got over 300 points and not won the league."
Waller insists the thrill of clinching the title never wears off. "It means a hell of a lot to everyone. It is just as good as the first time.
"The season is long and hard and we have played some intense cricket for the last four months against some good sides."
Waller praised his talented squad who have all contributed to Findon's success.
He said: "We have a strong squad of all-rounders with a balanced bowling attack. We bat all the way down to 11 and that's why we are confident everytime we go to the wicket.
"I like to be positive. We always look to bat first and try and get a good total. It was a real team effort this year and it would be remiss of me to single anyone out for particular praise.
"The good thing about Findon is no one shines with big wickets or big scores because everyone contributes.
"I know other sides will try and strengthen in the close season so we'll keep our team together and maybe try and add a new face or two."
Findon beat Lindfield by eight wickets when an unbeaten 53 from Graham Waller steered the visitors to 114-2.
Earlier, Paul O'Sullivan (5-25) and Toby Kingsbury (4-35) did the damage as Lindfield were all out for 110.
Pagham must win at Lindfield on Saturday to secure the runners-up spot.
Skipper Craig Primmer said: "I think the best team have won the title. Congratulations to them, they have done it week in, week out.
"They have a big squad of good players and that's what we will try and get next year. Second place behind them would still be a good achievement."
