Residents are being thanked for their patience as Brighton and Hove's rubbish collection chaos continues.
But surely the city council cannot bank on much more goodwill as garbage piles up and rots on the streets.
Susan Beglan believes the rubbish outside her door is a health hazard. Many other residents will have full sympathy with her.
Since the council altered its collection rounds, The Argus has been inundated with calls complaining about the new system.
It is all very well for the council to plead "teething problems", as refuse teams get used to the new schedules.
But when rubbish bags are not being collected at all, it is no surprise residents are feeling down in the dumps.
