Paul Campbell-James retained the British Youth Match Racing National Championship title at Weymouth.
It means the Sidlesham sailor has secured a World Championship place in New Zealand next January.
Campbell-James, with his crew of Alex Cherry, Paul Burgoine, Sam Richmond and Ed Powys, dominated the three days of sailing in his Beneteau First Class Eight.
The finalists have been invited to compete in the senior British Open Match Race Championships in Weymouth next month when Paul will be competing against older brother Mark.
Paul, 19, said: "I'm delighted. We pretty much dominated for the whole of the three days.
"Competing in the World Championships is a big aim of mine because we got so close to being world champions the last time it was run.
"We were beaten by a New Zealand crew in the final by just half-a-metre after coming back from two races down to level it.
"I think we can go one better this time because we've beaten the Kiwis already this year.
"I'm hoping to beat my brother again at Weymouth. I was fourth and he was fifth last year. We're about even at the moment because he defeated me in the last Europeans.
