The show must go on for an alternative Brighton pantomime which is being revived next year after the final curtain came down more than two decades ago.
The panto used to play to packed houses at the Wagner Hall off West Street and the Co-op Hall in London Road during the Sixties and Seventies.
Impresario Brian Ralfe, who is reviving the tradition, said: "This will be the campest and funniest show to date. It will be bold, adult entertainment, not for the faint-hearted."
Carry On Dick Whittington will run at the Pavilion Theatre in New Road on February 27, 28 and March 1.
It will include Phil Starr as the Cat, Maisie Trollette as Dick Whittington, Lola Lasagne as Queen Rat, Pooh-La-May as the Bona Fairy, Miss Jason as Alice, Lee Tracey as the Dame and Paul McCarthy as the Alderman.
