I just do not understand the complaints voiced by P Switzer (Letters, Aug 27). What is the point she is trying to make?

Obviously she is somewhat aggrieved that Councillor Bennett is an effective councillor or does she have a personal vendetta against this particular councillor?

Perhaps she has not read of the campaign to keep the Breast Aware Centre in Brighton? Surely that is not a campaign to be restricted to Goldsmid Ward which, since Coun Bennett leads it, is what P Switzer is suggesting?

Surely if residents wish to contact a particular councillor for help and advice, it is their right to do so. It is not for P Switzer to refuse them the right to exercise that choice.

I say keep up the good work Coun Bennett.
