Toploader guitarist Dan Hipgrave was overjoyed after his celebrity wife Gail gave birth to their first child.
Little Honey weighed in at 8lb 12oz at a London hospital, to the joy of Dan, of rock band Toploader, and TV presenter Gail.
The birth of the girl came a month after the couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary following their marriage in Edinburgh last year.
They are sometimes seen in Eastbourne, where Dan, 27, grew up in Old Camp Road and attended Cavendish School.
Dan is understood to have driven his wife to the NHS hospital and held her hand throughout the birth.
When the pregnancy was announced, Dan's parents, Royce and Denise, voiced delight at having a second grandchild after their daughter Natasha had a boy.
Gail, 31, an ex-Top of the Pops presenter, had mother Sandra Porter at her side. She travelled down from Edinburgh to be at the birth.
Gail, who changed her name from Porter to Hipgrave, had said she was "too organised" for an accidental pregnancy.
Before giving birth, she said: "I don't mind my friends' children but I never want my own. People tell me I'll change. One day I'll have this all-consuming urge to have a little Gail but I know that won't happen."
