On Saturday, my husband and I took our 14-year-old daughter, with learning disabilities, for a walk in Preston Park, Brighton.
As we returned to the car, my foot caught in a hole in the ground. It was covered with grass, causing me to fall heavily and bruise my knee.
On examining the hole, I was extremely surprised to find it contained, at its base, a metal post.
Luckily, my injury was not too serious.
What would have happened if I had broken my ankle or my daughter had fallen and injured herself?
How ridiculous having it left there in the middle of the park. If, for some reason, it has to be there, at least mark its location so everybody knows about it before something serious happens.
