I would like to point out the appalling service given to BT customers in the event of a breakdown.
I have a friend who is disabled and lives in Lewes. Her telephone became out of order on Friday and on Monday it was still like that - she pays £3 per week for a "lifeline".
She has heard nothing and cannot go anywhere to phone BT. Friends have tried but they can get no one to speak to in spite of dialling 0800 8001 51 and pressing all the buttons as directed.
Why does someone have to be left like this?
I have tried for her and hung on 25 minutes and more to try to find out what is going on but cannot speak directly to anyone.
This phone has been out of order consistently before and it has nothing to do with the recent gales.
