Trainee reporters can learn print and radio journalism skills on a free six-month course.
Community Service Volunteers (CSV) Media is running the course from February.
The course leads to a City & Guilds qualification and is being run at BBC Southern Counties Radio in Brighton.
The course will include interviewing and editing skills, programme production, web design and print journalism.
The course runs for three days a week and is free to anyone aged under 65 who is unemployed or working part-time.
