Hove-based video games outsourcing specialists Babel Media has completed its first-round of mobile games testing for Vodafone.
The company was commissioned to test 56 games published by Japanese and Korean companies, including Namco.
Twenty testers made sure English, French, German, Italian and Spanish versions of the games functioned, and were localised, properly.
Lee Fenton, commercial director of Vodafone's global content services said: "We fully expect mobile games to drive revenues higher and knowing these games have been exhaustively tested means our European subscribers will receive content of the highest possible quality."
Babel has invested heavily in its mobile games testing department.
According to recent figures from research specialists Ovum, the global mobile gaming market will be worth $4.4 billion by 2006, up from $124 million in 2001.
