I could not agree more with Councillor Keith Taylor when he says, "If people could see how decisions are made and what councillors are saying on their behalf, I think that would make the council truly accountable", thus justifying the introduction of webcasts of council meetings.
But I hope he also realises it will be important for the people to be reminded of the broadcast - for example, by The Argus? - and what decisions are to be made on their behalf. It could well lead to voting by internet - even cheaper and easier than by post.
