Health and safety expert John Revington will be speaking on proposed changes to fire safety law and the effect on businesses at a seminar next Monday.
Mr Revington, of Eastbourne based Premises Management Services, is used by top national exhibitions, including the Ideal Home, Boat Show and World Travel Market.
East Sussex Fire Brigade assistant divisional officer Peter Cox said: "The latest government proposals on fire safety represent the most significant changes to fire safety legislation ever. It is vital all sectors of the community are informed of these proposed changes in advance of their likely implementation in 2004."
Organised by Eastbourne and District Chamber of Commerce, the event at the Chatsworth Hotel, Eastbourne, is open to businesses throughout East Sussex.
Tickets for the event are £12 (£9 for chamber members). For details, call 01323 413504.
