Most heart attack patients in Brighton and Hove are getting the treatment they need within the time limits set by the Government.
At least three-quarters of patients suffering from a heart attack should be given a clot-dissolving drug within 30 minutes of arriving at hospital, says the Department of Health.
Figures released today show between 50 and 75 per cent of patients arriving at Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton were given the drug in time.
Eastbourne District General Hospital and Worthing Hospital are the only two in Sussex more than 25 per cent short of the target.
Crawley Hospital, Conquest in Hastings and St Richard's in Chichester all hit the target while Princess Royal in Haywards Heath is also within 25 per cent.
