Those of you in the Goldsmid area who have read your local lamp-post recently will already know there is a parking proposal for the area.
What you probably do not know - because the notice does not tell you - is that part of this proposal involves painting double yellow lines across all driveways.
I asked Brighton and Hove City Council why it thinks it needs to do this. Its answer was for consistency with other local schemes.
Rather than repeat a mistake, the council should put right its previous errors if consistency is of such a high priority.
