Is street cleaning covered by our council tax? How does one go about getting our streets swept and litter removed?

I cannot remember the last time the various roads around Seven Dials, Brighton, were last swept.

I have become increasingly annoyed at having to clear my front garden every day of litter that is blown into it because no one has bothered to sweep the road for months.

Brighton and Hove is a city we should be proud of, thereby encouraging people to come here.

However, it does not create a very good image for anyone arriving here to see dirt, litter and rubbish-strewn roads and streets.

First impressions do count.
