Mark Sumpter, from Five Ashes in East Sussex, could be stepping up in the world.
Eurotech Racing will contest the full FIA GT Championship next season with a two-car team of highly developed N-GT Porsches.
Mike Jordan's team, which has won multiple GT, Porsche and Eurocar championships in its 15-year history, is now gearing up for its biggest challenge to date.
Jordan will drive one car with backing from John Guest, while David and Godfrey Jones will graduate into the international series, backed by Preci-Spark. Sumpter is strongly tipped to partner Jordan and is currently working on securing backing for his seat.
The team is totally focussed on the FIA GT programme and will only run two races in the UK next season.
A TEAM from Goodwood will take part in Johnny Herbert's charity karting event at Kings Cross tomorrow. The event, organised by Herbert's supporters club, is being held in aid of the National Kidney Research Fund and consists of 22 teams of six drivers including one celebrity driver.
Following a one-hour qualifying session, teams from F1, karting clubs across the UK and Ireland and businesses, as well as, Johnny Herbert's own karting team, battle it out for victory over a three-hour race. The Goodwood team are hoping to raise £2,000.
