No surprise about the tremendous income from parking tickets (November 18) since most of it must come from outside Brighton College Prep School.
Daily, two or three wardens hover, booking innocent parents with nowhere to park.
There are not 250 legal parking spots in Kemp Town at any time of day or night, so what can we do?
By the very nature of the school, not being a neighbourhood school like Elm Grove or Queens Park, parents travel from up to 20 miles so cannot walk.
I suggest we are allowed ten minutes on the double yellow lines when all the bays are full.
The slight congestion this may cause for only a few minutes a day would make it safer by slowing down the cars to walking pace.
The local wardens say they have been instructed to target our school - I wonder why?
We should be allowed to deduct all parking tickets from our council tax if Brighton and Hove City Council cannot solve the problem.
