A protest against the Saltdean badger cull will go ahead in London tomorrow after all.
The Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs - which issued the cull order - was expected to postpone a meeting to discuss the situation because an expert could not make it.
But now the meeting is back on and dozens of campaigners will demonstrate with placards and banners outside.
Trevor Weeks, of the South Downs Badger Group, said: "We're not sure of numbers but I hope hundreds of campaigners will turn up to protest outside the meeting.
"Just because it was moved to London does not mean people will stay away. This is not just a local issue but also a national one. "
Mr Weeks added: "If Defra reissue the licence we will keep a 24-hour vigil outside the affected houses in Saltdean."
The badger cull order was issued after residents complained the badgers' sett was damaging their homes.
It led to a street protest and was finally called off, although two badgers were slaughtered.
