I was absolutely disgusted to see Tory Councillor Brian Oxley had nominated Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company for providing excellent services often in difficult circumstances.
I cannot see how one user thinks it can provide such a service. What about the rest of us, who live in remote areas such as Bush Farm Drive, Fox Way and Graham Avenue in Mile Oak, who rely on a bus that has been taken off?
Sainsbury's decided to run its own bus services to the store but what has this to do with the No 6 bus and the people that use it?
I am a mother with a young child and, like many other parents and elderly people who rely on the buses, am having to walk in appalling weather conditions because we no longer have a bus service.
At least 100 children walk across Fox Way, some with parents, all aged between four and 16. With the dark nights now here, what about the teenagers who stay behind at after-school clubs?
What if a child or teenager was knocked down or abducted - then who will be to blame?
Not so long ago, a petition was put to the bus company with at least 700 signatures on it.
Why should residents like myself and many others suffer because the company doesn't think it's worth having a bus service in our area any more?
Fox Way has become congested with traffic because of all this and parents have to find a car-share or get a taxi in bad weather.
