Horsham's bid for promotion has been boosted by the return of Dominic Hall to the division 1 side.
Hall, England's No.4 junior last season before he graduated to the senior ranks, has re-signed to spearhead Horsham's bid for promotion to the British League premier division.
He will play No.1 for Horsham, backed by the Worthing top spinner Peter Bartram and team captain Andy Walker.
The next round of matches is on December 14 to 15 at the London Progress Club, Dulwich.
The No.4 position has still to be decided. The three players in contention are Terry Haley, Jeremy Wilson and Ramesh Ballah.
There is also a chance Sussex champion Myur Majithia, who is recovering from a wrist injury, could play.
Walker said: "With a possible seven players to choose from I have several options open. Our top target this time is Tunbridge Wells whose leading man is the former Horsham player Adrian Moore."
London Progress are favourites to win the division but they cannot go up because they already have a team in the top flight. The team to win division 1 (north) could also go up, so Horsham must finish second to win promotion.
Shaheen Najat, an Iraqi asylum seeker based at Hastings, was the winner of the East Sussex championship at Bexhill. In the final he defeated Martin Kellaway (Eastbourne) 11-5, 11-2, 11-8.
