I would like to say a big thank you to the kind ladies in the Lewes Tourist Office.
They offered us a chair and drink after we had been sitting upstairs on a 123 bus which smashed into an overhanging window opposite the Town Hall and shattered the upstairs window of the bus in front of us.
We were the only passengers upstairs at the time.
I rang the bus company on our return, some three hours later, only to be told by a chap in the office that he knew nothing about any accident.
I left my name and address but have heard nothing and, as I was the only witness who saw exactly what happened, am quite amazed at the lax attitude.
After the other bus the week before having had its roof torn off, you can imagine how shaken we both were.
The driver commented as we got off: "Take it easy." If he had, the accident would not have happened.
