Bognor maintained their pursuit of the Division One South leaders with a 2-1 win over Windsor & Eton, their third against the Royalists this season.
Jack Pearce's men were made to work hard for their victory against a much improved side, but two goals from Lee Stevens did the trick.
Stevens was in the thick of the action early on with his pace causing the visitors plenty of problems.
There were two half-chances for Matt Russell who got the ball stuck under his feet before heading Stevens' cross wide, but the deadlock was broken in the 34th minute.
Russell flicked on Pat Lawrence's ball forward and Stevens calmly rounded Leon Towley before drilling a low shot past goalkeeper Steve Williams.
The visitors only offered occasional threats to Bognor's goal in the first half which the Rutherford brothers Guy and Mile dealt comfortably with.
Stevens should have doubled Bognor's lead early in the second half, but saw his first effort and the follow-up saved by Williams.
That was the signal for a Windsor fightback. Craig O'Connor flicked Colin Ferguson's corner on to the roof of the net and O'Connor then headed over from close range when it seemed certain he would score.
But Windsor finally drew level on 72 minutes when Shaun Dyke's long range effort somehow eluded the diving Lawrence at his near post.
It looked as if Bognor were going to pay for missing earlier chances, but with nine minutes left Stevens struck what proved to be the winner.
Russell was again the provider, setting up his team-mate with a neat pass which allowed Stevens to outpace Towley before delicately chipping the ball over Williams.
Stevens might even have bagged a hat-trick in the closing stages, but Williams denied him with two more saves.
Bognor boss Jack Pearce was delighted with the outcome.
He said: "I'm extremely happy with the result. It was a good performance against one of the form sides in the league.
"But we should have buried them long before we gave them a lifeline into the game with their equalising goal."
