Adur Rockers are celebrating a major scalp after beating the European champions, Wakefield Warriors.
The 2-1 triumph was Rockers' highlight during the three-day BISHA skater hockey nationals at the GL1 Centre, Gloucester.
Adur finished second in a group of four before being beaten 3-2 by Borehamwood Saracens in the semi-final and 6-1 by Leasowe Sharks in the third-place play-off.
Rockers therefore finished fourth of 16 high-quality teams from across the country.
Goalie Aaron Taylor was honoured to be chosen for the competition dream team, while Aaron Taylor and Laurie Hendy have been picked for GB trials.
Thrilled coach Paul Pearce, who only took charge of the team in early September, said: "We went into the national championships as underdogs of the tournament.
"The team showed me more determination and want than I have ever seen in my years of playing hockey.
"I believed they could go far and they proved me right and a lot of others wrong. I was very proud of them.
"I would also like to thank the parents and players for making this experience possible."
