Christmas lights in Wick shopping parade have been switched on by the mayor of Littlehampton Wendy Squires.
The new lights, purchased through funding from Single Regeneration Wick Initiatives and Littlehampton Town Council, have been put up along the High Street.
All the shopkeepers agreed to put up lights and decorations to help bring a Christmas feel to the area.
Roger Arthur, owner of Going Spare, has been a driving force along with Littlehampton Town Council to secure the funding and get the lights.
He said: "It's been really satisfying.
I've been up and down the High Street asking businesses and shopkeepers whether they would be prepared to have Christmas lights on their premises and they all agreed.
"It was really great to get that sense of community and wanting to promote Wick during this festive season."
Councillor Squires said: "I am so pleased that Wick has introduced such decorative and splendid lights to its High Street.
"I am delighted that Littlehampton Town Council was able to work with people like Roger, to make this occasion happen.
"I am also pleased to see how many shops have put up their own lights to create even more atmosphere."
