Talks are being held to develop electronic links between two councils.
According to Arundel's weekly bulletin, the town council and Arun District Council are trying to set up the link in a bid to help Arundel residents comment on district issues.
The town council says all forms used by the district council will be available online and can be printed off at Arundel Town Hall in Maltravers Street.
From February, residents will be able to access all planning history going back to 1948 and be able to comment on current planning applications via the internet.
This means that a resident calling into the town hall to look at a planning application can submit comments immediately.
The council said it hoped that over the next year residents would become more aware that many matters can be dealt with without a trip to the Civic Centre in Littlehampton.
